Delighted to announce the paper published by Marco Boetti, Maarten van Reeuwijk, and Alexander Liberzon (Phys. Rev. Fluids 6, 114803 – Published 15 November 2021)
In this study, properties of the turbulent/nonturbulent interface (TNTI) between two layers of stratified fluids through direct numerical simulations (DNSs) have been considered. Basically they analyze two different turbulent flows at moderate Reynolds numbers using direct numerical simulation and demonstrate that the results collapse on a single curve using a length scale based on the potential enstrophy.
